Grilled Oysters Recipe

Oyster is the common name for a number of different families of salt-water bivalve molluscs that live in marine or brackish habitats.

Some types of oysters are commonly consumed and cooked, while in some locales they are regarded as a form of delicacy.

Besides food, oysters are also harvested for their pearls and their shells used to make various decorative objects.  

Oysters have full, plump meats with a medium brininess and sweetness in their flavor.

Grilled oysters are one of the easiest things to make. You only need a few simple ingredients to bring out the natural briny taste of the oysters, such as finely chopped garlic, parsley leaves, salt, paprika, and butter.

 6 big shell-on oysters
 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
 1 tbsp chopped parsley leaves
 paprika to taste
 2 tbsp salted butter, melted
 lemon wedges (optional)

Shuck the oysters and set them aside.

Top the oysters with chopped garlic, parsley leaves, and season them with paprika. Add some melted butter to each oyster.

Grill them for about 5-8 minutes or until they are cooked.

Serve and enjoy. Optional to add a squirt of lemon juice before eating.
